We reside in the Pacific Northwest. I am 49 years old, married 23 years with 2 daughters. I came to know the Lord in Oct. 1985 after years of living as a practical atheist! (James 4:4)
Educationally, I hold a B.S. in Business Administration but have dedicated to continue in the learning process. John Maxwell is one of my favorite teachers on leadership. I've had management experience with a Fortune 50 company. After being self-employed in the Insurance Industry for 18 Yrs., I'm now employed as an Account Executive for a local company that has been in business since 1896.
Spiritually, I was raised Lutheran, avoided church altogether for a number of years after high school. Then, in 1985 was saved in a Baptist church, met my wife-to-be a few months later and were married within the year (1986). We attended that church for 3 years, leaving due to leadership challenges. We then fellowshipped for several years at a Berean Church. Since 1996, we've attended a growing, non-denominational Christian Church where we are actively involved. My wife is on staff 2 days a week. We are blessed to see God's hand at work in growing both our congregation and facility! We are also blessed to have a humble, pastor who is a gifted teacher of the Word.
Recreationally, I took up cycling seriously over 5 years ago to get fit and stay in shape. I love it and now bike Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall- inside on my trainer when it's too wet:-). It is a great way to enjoy God's creation!
Spurgeons' Puritan Catechism would adequately summarize my beliefs. With regard to Biblical Inerrancy, I stand behind the Chicago Statement in it's entirety. I still hold to a dispensational framework in my theology but have learned the virtue of agreeing to disagree agreeably in disputable matters (Rom.14:1). Galatians 2:20 has been my theme verse.
I cherish the interaction on the Forum and have both learned much and grown because of it. I have come to be more accepting of others who differ doctrinally, yet are orthodox in respect to the essentials of our faith. Sound Doctrine is a passion!
I enjoy the study of Gods' word with the desire to help others grow in the grace and knowledge of Him(Titus 2:11-12). This has been greatly enhanced by Logos Scholars Library of which I am an ardent advocate and user! I can be reached via my e-mail bdkrantz@comcast.net.
